Have You Heard The New…Mount Eerie?

I like Mount Eerie and Phil Elverum‘s shit in general, though I’m not as fanatic about it as some people are. I can see why they are – he’s got an honesty and engrossing artistic vision that lends itself to that kind of thing. I’m just not a card carrying member of the fan club, but otherwise, I dig it. Anyways.

New song, “Ocean’s Roar”, off the upcoming full-length of the same name, sounds really cool. It’s got this effervescent, dreamy thing going on, and that gives me an ear boner, so I felt like blogging about it. Some chick’s moaning on it – that’s cool too. It’s all good. Feel the love. If the album is more of this kind of thing, it may very well mark my entry into the fan club.
